20th anniversary of the World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon will meet a delegation of the Movement on October 17 at 3pm (New York time) with delegates from Philippina, Haïti, France and USA.
On the same day, national political leaders will also meet delegations and representatives of the signatories of the Call to Action. These delegations will also present the results of the campaign “Ending Extreme Poverty, A Road to Peace” :
In Belgium: Mr. Van Rompuy - President of the House of Representatives
In France: Mr Sarkozy, President of the Republic
In Switzerland: Mrs. Calmy-Rey, President of the Swiss Confederation
In addition to other meetings that will take place on the 17th or in the days that follow around the whole world.
