The findings of ATD Fourth World’s participatory action-research project, evaluating the MDGs with people living in extreme poverty, will be showcased in New York, on 26 and 27 June 2013.
The research draws on the unique expertise of people living in extreme poverty in developing a new global framework beyond the 2015 deadline of the Millennium Development Goals.

Research participants of the three year project with direct and personal experiences of poverty, will participate in an in-depth dialogue with United Nations Member State representatives, U.N agencies, and civil society organizations. The meeting will examine the findings from the participatory action-research project and discuss how the approach and research methodology can be applied to the U.N.’s work in the post-2015 development agenda.

The meeting will include people living in poverty from Belgium, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, France, Madagascar, Peru and the United States. There will also be presentations byindividuals working closely with grassroots communities from Bangladesh, India and the United Kingdom.
