International Leadership Team
The International Leadership Team is responsible for managing the work of ATD Fourth World around the world.
Together with ATD Fourth World’s Executive Board, the International Leadership Team is responsible for coordinating ATD worldwide, both sparking creative initiatives, and helping to sustain the collective will of our members, particularly for those whose commitment is a life-long choice.
ATD Fourth World’s Volunteer Corps, in consultation with activists, allies, supporters and friends has the responsibility of choosing team members. ATD’s General Assembly then elects the team for a term of four years.
The current team consists of three persons. The Director General is Chantal Consolini Thiébaud (France). The Deputy Directors are Joëlle Girard (France), and Daniel Marineau (Canada).
In particular, they are responsible for the evaluation planning process that leads to choosing our guidelines and priorities.
To carry out its mission, the team is supported by:
- Regional and national directors in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Mideast, North America, and the Indian Ocean. Each supports ATD’s action and members and develops exchanges and common projects between regions and countries with the International Leadership Team.
- The International Center, which includes but not limited to these teams: Knowledge /Action/Engagement, Training, Communications, and Administration, Ethics, and Finance. There are also several teams working on specific tasks: administrative support for the International Leadership Team, International Advocacy, the Forum on Overcoming Extreme Poverty, the October 17th Committee, the Joseph Wresinski Archives and Research Centre, and Merging Knowledge.
