Join our international team of full-time volunteers

A unique way of getting involved and fighting poverty

The International Volunteer Corps is made of people who are committed to going out to reach the poorest and fighting poverty by accepting to learn from their experience and their knowledge.
Almost all of ATD Fourth World’s staff are part of the International Volunteer Corps: nearly 400 volunteers from around 40 countries, from different religious and philosophical backgrounds and with different training and professions. They work in around 30 countries and put into place pilot projects with the very poor, discovering the courage, creativity and tenacity of the children and parents they work with, beyond cultural and other barriers.

After an initial period of discovery and training, the full-time volunteers make a long-term commitment. They invest in ATD Fourth World’s work on a full-time basis and receive a small basic wage, which is the same for everyone.

If you’re interested in joining the International Volunteer Corps, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Wherever men and women are condemned to live in extreme poverty, human rights are violated.
To come together to ensure that these rights be respected is our solemn duty.
